Coach & Founder

My name is joe Bordieri, I am the founder of Fearless One Sports Academy. I am a licensed school adjustment counselor and a licensed independent certified social worker. I received my undergraduate degree at Northeastern University and Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Boston College. I have been working with children and youth for over 15 years with 11 of those years being in public education.

Before entering the public school systems, I worked in therapeutic programs such as Home for Little Wanderer as well as in different afterschool programs, summer camps and nonprofit organizations such as the YMCA and the Boys and Girls Club.

My coaching career started back in 2008 when I volunteered as an assistant wrestling coach for the Boston Latin Wrestling team. In 2014, I served as the head coach of the junior varsity Randolph High football team. After changing school districts in 2017, I created and organized a highly successful youth wrestling program for students in New Bedford Public Schools.

While I grew up playing baseball, my softball journey began in 2021. Since then, I have spent hours upon hours studying the game and learning the best strategies and techniques to teach young athletes. My approach to working with young athletes is to combine the balance between positive praise and constructive criticism while also sprinkling in some humor to keep the players smiling and learning.

Katie Morano, parent

“Coach B is innovative and fun in his approach to the game which keeps all of the players active and engaged. His unique approach to coaching helps to strengthen the fundamentals that will be the basis of their softball skills for years to come."

Karrie Cantrel, parent

"Coach B has been a brilliant leader on and off the field, instructing the kids in not only the technical aspects of the game but the psychological as well. "

Colleen Scimonelli, parent

“Coach B teaches them work ethic and to never give up, all while having fun. He pushes these girls to be their best, give their all, and always support each other.”

All For Good

Fearless One Sports Academy is a recently established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that started with the goal to give youth more opportunities to compete, play, and thrive.
